His True Meaning of Power
Dongfang Qingcang stood atop a towering hill, wearing menacing battle armor that shimmered with a dark iridescent sheen in the fading light of the sunset. Sinister thoughts consumed his tyrannical mind as he thirsted for dominance over his tribe, determined to achieve their complete submission.
Peering down at the opposing army, Qingcang allowed a slight smirk to grace his lips, dismissing the ‘fools’ who dared question his authority. His piercing brown eyes held an icy intensity, reflecting his entire being, while his deep, intimidating voice resonated like thunder. “I am the Moon Supreme, the bearer of Hellfire. As the mightiest in the three realms, I am unbeatable. You shall never stand a chance against me,” he declared, his words cutting through the air.
The dark aura surrounding Qingcang grew as he spoke, casting ominous veils of black mist in every direction, shrouding everything it touched. In an instant, he teleported to the forefront of the army and summoned his ebony sword, a weapon forged from Hellfire and adorned with blue flames. He wielded it as he observed the soldiers before him.
The enemy army, ten thousand strong, stood poised on the horizon, their weapons glinting. Despite the size of the military, Qingcang remained unyielding and determined to demonstrate the true meaning of power.
The Western King scoffed, his voice firm as he warned, “Do not underestimate us, Dongfang Qingcang.”
Acknowledging the king’s words, Qingcang turned his attention to the forefront of the enemy army, speaking with a hint of respect, “I commend you for showing up. By now, you should all be aware of my indestructible primordial spirit and immortality. Yet, here you stand, ready to face your demise.”
In response, the Western King shouted back with defiance and pride, “Then, Dongfang Qingcang, we shall die with honor! We shall never serve a mere boy.”
Qingcang scoffed at the king’s foolishness. “You were not so arrogant this morning when I humiliated you,” he retorted, his cold eyes filled with contempt.
Unperturbed, the Western King replied, a smirk tugging at his lips, “Oh, but you see… We have a little surprise for you.” He beckoned the man standing behind him on the right.
The general of the enemy army stepped forward, his eyes turning black as his body contorted and grew in size. Meanwhile, Qingcang remained unimpressed, his icy gaze fixed on the general’s transformation into a massive, blood-red dragon.

The dragon unleashed a deafening roar, but the Moon Supreme remained unfazed. Standing tall, he brandished his Hellfire sword, never taking his eyes off the formidable foe. The horde led by the mighty Western King and their dragon general countered Qingcang’s charge with a fierce attack. Energy blasts tore through the air, and the ground trembled under the impact of the raging battle.
Surrounded by enemies, Qingcang stayed composed and focused, his mind sharp as he analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of his opponents. ‘So, they wish to play? I’ll grant their wish.’ A sly grin spread across his face. Determined to toy with the army and its general, he engaged them with fierceness, swiftly cutting down his foes on all sides with his blue-flamed sword. With the grace and precision of a predator, he struck decisively, exploiting every opening.
As the Western King witnessed his soldiers falling one by one, a sense of panic engulfed him. ‘He’s too powerful.’
The battle raged on, time stretching as mere minutes felt like hours. The army fought bravely, but they were no match for Qingcang, who continued to toy with them. Swift and elusive, he appeared omnipresent, a blur in motion, always staying one step ahead of his enemies. His movements exuded a lethal elegance as he effortlessly sliced through the enemy ranks, his sword striking with blinding speed and appearing simultaneously in multiple places.
The Western King pondered, ‘If I don’t devise a plan soon, we are doomed.’
Pressing forward, the army advanced with weapons raised. Qingcang sneered, feeling a surge of power within him. With a thunderous roar, he unleashed a colossal wave of energy that obliterated the forefront of the army, reducing them to dust. The surviving soldiers were sent flying in all directions, their bodies battered and broken. His heart had no mercy as he unleashed devastating energy blasts, each more destructive than the last, filling the air with the anguished cries of the fallen.
Confronting the King of the West and the dragon general, Qingcang positioned himself before them, exuding an air of superiority. “My power transcends your comprehension. I shall crush you and your pitiful army,” he taunted, his voice filled with contempt. Standing tall, he raised his arms to a ninety-degree angle, summoning a raging inferno of blue energy from within. His eyes blazed with a vibrant blue hue as he prepared to unleash his wrath on the soldiers. “All of you shall perish,” he declared. With a mere flick of his finger, he effortlessly deflected the explosions, redirecting them back toward the soldiers.
The center of Qingcang’s palms blazed with the intensity of blue flames as he prepared his most devastating attack, Hellfire. With a ferocious roar, he unleashed the attack upon the army. Terror-stricken screams filled the air as the blue flames consumed them, their bodies disintegrating within moments. The Red Dragon General of the West was engulfed in a vortex of the raging inferno, reducing the surrounding soldiers to ashes where they stood. The colossal dragon let out an agonized roar as the flames devoured him, instantly turning him into dust.
“This is the consequence of defying the unity of the Moon Tribe, King of the West,” Qingcang stated in a monotone voice, without a trace of remorse.
Fear and regret flooded the King of the West as beads of sweat formed on his brow. Holding his breath, he found himself at the mercy of the all-powerful Moon Supreme, and his gaze lowered in agony from the mere impact of Qingcang’s attacks. He now stood helpless, realizing the dire consequences of defying such an omnipotent force.
Qingcang sneered at the Western King before abruptly thrusting his sword into the traitor’s body, leaving him to meet his demise.
Defeated and shattered, the King of the West coughed up droplets of blood as he knelt before the Moon Supreme, the person he had once dismissed as a mere boy. Wracked with pain, his body trembled as he attempted to rise, only to falter and collapse face-first onto the ground.
Terror contorted the faces of the soldiers as they witnessed their leader’s downfall. Those who remained scrambled desperately to escape Dongfang Qingcang, scattering in all directions.
Qingcang’s eyes shimmered with otherworldly energy as he ascended into the sky, a dark aura swirling around him like a cloak of shadows. ‘These fools should’ve surrendered when they had the chance.’ He unleashed a relentless barrage of black energy blasts that streaked across the sky, obliterating everything in their path. The soldiers stood no chance against his unimaginable power, falling before him like wheat before a scythe. Their anguished screams filled the air as terror and agony prevailed.
With a triumphant cry, Qingcang unleashed his ultimate technique, a massive Hellfire wave of blue flames, engulfing the remaining soldiers at the forefront and incinerating them. The battlefield’s sounds fell into the fading crackle of energy blasts and the distant cries of the wounded.
While ascending higher into the sky, Qingcang’s power surged with each passing moment. With a commanding gesture, he summoned a colossal cloud above the battlefield. Casting a cold and indifferent gaze upon the soldiers below, he raised his arms to the sky, beckoning a fierce storm that sent lightning bolts crashing down on the fleeing troops.
“Retreat! Retreat!” echoed the panicked shouts among the surviving soldiers.
Those who managed to evade the initial onslaught of energy blasts were assailed by an unrelenting barrage of lightning bolts from Qingcang’s overwhelming power. Their bodies convulsed under the electric currents, and their lives were extinguished instantly. “You cannot escape nor hope to defeat me,” he snarled, his eyes ablaze with ominous energy. “I am invincible.” He continued to summon lightning bolts with precision and deadly accuracy as the battle raged on. The sky crackled with electrifying energy, and the air carried the scent of smoke.
Descending from the sky, the lightning surrounding Qingcang’s form gradually faded. The battlefield became a wasteland of smoldering ruins. Standing triumphant and unscathed, his power unmatched by any who dared challenge him, he was an invincible force. The battle had been nothing short of one-sided, as he effortlessly obliterated an entire army with his formidable attacks.
Dongfang Qingcang let out a soft, disdainful “Hmph” as he observed the devastation he had caused. A sense of boredom overcame him, and he realized that this was merely the beginning of his reign.

In the depths of the Fairy Realm, where mythical creatures freely roamed and metaphysical energies filled the air, Chidi, a fearsome warrior with long, black hair, walked purposefully toward her lord’s magnificent throne room. The grand doors swung open, fueling her anticipation as she entered and found Lord Yunzhong seated upon his throne. She took a deep breath, calming her nerves, and met the Fairy Lord’s penetrating gaze.
Yunzhong exuded power and wisdom, displaying regal bearing and intense eyes. His index finger tapped rhythmically against the armrest of his ornate throne, adding to the tension in the air. “Why have you come, Chidi?” he inquired in a calm and measured voice, revealing little emotion as he awaited an explanation.
Chidi composed herself, her mind racing to share the urgency of her news. “My Lord, a reliable spy in Cangyan Sea has provided us with crucial information,” she began firmly and resolutely. “Dongfang Qingcang is engaged in a battle against the entire West Cangyan Sea’s army by himself.”
A flicker of surprise crossed Yunzhong’s eyes, briefly breaking his composed demeanor. However, he quickly concealed it, allowing a faint smile to grace his lips. “You must determine the outcome and report back to me immediately,” he instructed. Noticing Chidi’s hesitation and averted gaze, he asked, “Is there something else you need to share?”
Chidi’s brows furrowed, and her gaze dropped to the floor. “Dongfang Qingcang is immortal,” she disclosed, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. The mere thought of facing an immortal foe sent a shiver down her spine.

“Dongfang Qingcang! There are more of us!” a voice shouted from a distance.
Qingcang turned his attention and was taken aback by the sight of another army marching towards him, their numbers exceeding threefold the military he had vanquished mere moments ago. The stakes were high, and tension hung in the air. Yet, he simply sighed and rolled his eyes. The Moon Supreme understood that ending this battle swiftly would require a massive wave of Hellfire. “I shall show you the true meaning of power, and you shall crumble before me, just as all others have,” he declared, preparing to unleash a torrent of blue flames. However, to his astonishment, he found himself unable to unleash it. ‘What’s happening? Why can’t I use Hellfire?’ he thought in shock, feeling a sudden and intense pain in his chest. This was a phenomenon he had never experienced before.
“We do not believe in your immortality. With our high numbers, you cannot beat us all. Your defeat is inevitable,” spoke the new leader of the second opposing army.
Despite the pain gnawing at his chest, Qingcang gritted his teeth and fought with every ounce of his being. He drew upon all the skills, techniques, and powers he had acquired over the years. The agony that consumed him threatened to overpower him, pushing him to the limits of his endurance. Exhaustion weighed heavily upon him, his muscles aching with strain, yet he refused to surrender. As the battle raged on, his opponents fought with their powerful energy blasts, but their attacks failed to deliver a lethal blow. Aware of the ticking time, he searched for a way to swiftly overcome his opponents, unsure how long he could endure the stabbing pain in his chest.
Suddenly, Qingcang got an idea. Long ago, he learned to use a dangerous technique that would require most of his life force.
Summoning every ounce of strength, Qingcang unleashed a mighty blast, determined to beat his foes. It resulted in a massive explosion, sending his enemies hurtling through the air.
Standing amidst the aftermath, Qingcang was pleased with his display of power, knowing that his dominion would remain unchallenged for eternity. He had proven himself to be the supreme force within the realms, destined to strike fear into all hearts. Exhausted and wounded, he observed the battlefield. The Moon Supreme Lord had emerged victorious, but the close call with the chest pain reminded him never to be caught off guard again.
‘This will serve as a warning to all who dare defy me.’
Panting heavily, sweat streaming down his face, Qingcang collapsed on the ground amidst the thousands of bodies. Echoes of the enemy army’s screams still lingered in his mind, the memory of their advance to claim his life. Weary, with his piercing brown eyes growing heavy, he watched as the world darkened and spun around him, surrendering to the embrace of a deep slumber.
